Traffic is the expensive way to fix a conversion problem.

Where the money leaks

Ecommerce website optimization is the work of making an existing store earn more from the visitors it already gets. It is unglamorous next to a rebuild and it is usually the cheaper answer, because a store losing orders at the checkout loses them from paid traffic and organic traffic alike.

The order matters. Sending more people to a store that drops them is how an advertising budget disappears without anybody being able to say where. Fixing the drop first means every pound spent afterwards works harder, and the fix is measurable in a way that a redesign rarely is.

What we look at is what the numbers point at rather than what a checklist says: where sessions end, which step of the checkout loses them, how the site behaves on the phone the customer is actually holding, and how long the first screen takes to appear.

What ecommerce optimization includes.

6 things, all of them

  • Page speed and Core Web Vitals

  • Mobile checkout and payment flow

  • Conversion path and drop-off analysis

  • Mobile and real-device testing

  • Technical fixes that block indexing

  • Conversion tracking that reports the truth

How the work runs.

What every engagement gets

  1. 01

    Measure before touching anything

The first job is finding where sessions actually end, on which device, and at which step. Without that, optimisation is redecoration, and it is impossible to say afterwards whether anything worked.

  2. 02

Speed as a build concern, not a cleanup pass

According to Google, 53% of mobile users abandon sites that take longer than 3 seconds to load. Page weight is treated as part of the work rather than something tidied afterwards, because by the time it is a cleanup pass the decisions that caused it are already in place.

  3. 03

The phone the customer is holding

Tested on real devices rather than a desktop browser narrowed to phone width, and on the path that matters most: the one that ends in an order or an enquiry.

  4. 04

    Tracking that reports the truth

A form that stops recording conversions does not raise an error. It reports zero, which is indistinguishable from a quiet week until somebody checks. Conversion tracking is verified as part of the work rather than assumed.

How ecommerce optimization runs.

4 stages, in order

  1. 01

    Audit

We look at the analytics, the checkout and the site on real devices, and write down what is losing orders.

  2. 02

    Prioritise

The list is ordered by what it costs to fix against what it is losing, so the cheap wins go first.

  3. 03

    Fix

Speed, layout, checkout and tracking, in that order, on the store you already have.

  4. 04

    Verify

The same measurements again, so the difference is a number rather than an impression.

Questions about ecommerce optimization.

FAQ

01Is this cheaper than a rebuild?

Usually, and it is the right place to start either way. If the audit finds the platform itself is the constraint we will say so rather than charge for fixes that cannot hold, and the rebuild conversation is a separate one.

02How long before I see a difference?

Speed and checkout fixes show up in the data within days because they affect every session. Anything that depends on search visibility takes longer, and we will tell you which of the two a given fix is.

03What if my tracking is wrong?

That is common and it is the first thing we check. Optimising against numbers that are not measuring what you think they are measuring is worse than doing nothing, because it produces confident decisions in the wrong direction.

04Do you work on stores you did not build?

Yes, and most of this work is exactly that. Jinamart was an existing store when we started on it.
